Red Squirrel Trust
Red Squirrels Trust Wales
For over 20 years Red Squirrels Trust Wales has been working to safeguard red squirrels in North Wales, their efforts have brought a population of 40 red squirrels on Anglesey to a high of 800 today. Anglesey is now known for its red squirrel population and these little tuftys bring tourists in from all over the world. However the work doesn’t stop there! Red squirrels have now spread to the mainland and can be found from Bangor to Braichmelyn, we have even had some at Greenwood forest park! Red Squirrels Trust Wales are now working on the mainland throughout Gwynedd to help keep our native red squirrel safe and allow them to thrive.
The Red Squirrel Trust will be with us on the 27th and 28th February. There will be a chance to create some squirrel masks, feeders and plant pots, and a chance to learn some interesting facts about squirrels – so make sure you pay them a visit at the craft area!
